I kinda hated this at the time - but I think more the over-exposure of the song ... I know someone who goes 'that's not singing, she's just talking' (!!!)
I love the clipped pronunciation + british-ness of it all - real cute ... and that's from someone in the uk ... I always wondered what someone from overseas would make of it/her??!!

I like Kate Nash, and I'm a sucker for brass, especially if it's done well like this. My favorite band has the sing/talk style. I think it sounds a little more poetic. (check out mewithoutyou - the fox, the crow, the cookie in the labels to the right).
I really like Do-Wah-Doo; I had never heard it before. It's better that these songs are never played around here. It makes finding them so much better!
